The NBA Playoffs have reached the conference finals, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continues to steam in the latest 2025 NBA Finals MVP odds lookahead. He's already a massive -190 favorite before the Thunder even advance to the Finals, which shows this could end up very lopsided by the time they get there. Can anyone else win Finals MVP? Before the NBA Playoffs began, I threw out three names that could win the NBA MVP.
I suggested Shai Gilgeous-Alexander at +155, Donovan Mitchell at +600, and added a long-shot of Jalen Brunson at +4500 odds.
Two of those three bets are still in play, and the Conference Finals will begin tonight. That Brunson play has some insane EV, too.
Is it worth backing Brunson at his current odds? What about some of the other stars? Let's look at the 2025 NBA Finals MVP odds. I'll list a few of my favorite bets below.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will likely win the NBA MVP for the 2024-'25 season. Right now, he's the favorite also to win the NBA Finals MVP.
Ultimately, the Thunder have the best odds of winning the NBA Championship. Personally, I think the Minnesota Timberwolves will give the Thunder a run for their money. However, if the Thunder were to win it all, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander would very likely win the NBA Finals MVP.
In the seven-game second round against the Nuggets, SGA averaged nearly 30 points per game and finished with at least 31 points in five of those seven games. He's an elite scorer and will get recognized if the Thunder win it all.

The Knicks are the favorites to win the Eastern Conference Finals. Therefore, Jalen Brunson is next on the list at +550 odds.
Brunson scored 26.2 points per game for the Knicks in their six-game series win over the Celtics. He also added 7.2 assists per game and shot better than 39% from three-point range in that series win.
Brunson is the most clutch player in the NBA this year. A couple of clutch buckets in the ECF and NBA Finals would certainly land him the NBA Finals MVP if the Knicks win it all.

I've already stated in other articles that the Timberwolves at +300 to win the Western Conference Finals had value. This could go a full seven games, and the Timberwolves could find a way to escape in Game 7 with a win in Oklahoma City.
The Timberwolves wanted to get back to this point. They're here now. Don't expect Edwards or other Timberwolves to waste this opportunity with poor play. They're actually played their best basketball of the season right now.
If the Timberwolves make it into the Western Conference Finals and win it all, I'd like to think Edwards will win the MVP. He might not even lead the team in scoring with Julius Randle getting hot, but he fills up the box score. That'll be enough to get him the MVP if the Timberwolves win.

It's unlikely the Pacers will win the NBA Finals. Let's just be honest. However, if the Pacers were to make it happen, I don't think Tyrese Haliburton would perform better than Pascal Siakam. Siakam shot 53.7% from the field against the Cavaliers and added nearly 18 points per game. He was more consistent than Haliburton from the field.
If you like the Pacers, Siakam at +5000 has some value.
