5 Minute Read2025 NBA Finals MVP Odds: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Given 85% Chance to Win Award Heading Into The NBA Finals
The Oklahoma City Thunder are heading into the NBA Finals as -750 favorites to hoist the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy.
Ultimately, if you like the Thunder to knock off the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Finals, there's a better bet to consider that offers a slightly higher payout.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander already won the Western Conference Finals MVP and is currently -550 to win the NBA Finals MVP.
A Finals MVP would be the third MVP title for Gilgeous-Alexander this year. He won the NBA Regular Season MVP and added the Western Conference Finals MVP after the Thunder escaped the Minnesota Timberwolves most recently.
Is it worth backing SGA to win the MVP, or is there someone else we should consider?
Let's look at the 2025 NBA Finals MVP odds. I'll talk about the best bets below.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (-550) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best NBA Finals MVP odds
In the Western Conference Finals, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander recorded 31.4 points per game and added 8.2 assists with 5.2 rebounds on 45.7% from the field.
SGA took more than 23 shots per game and added another 10.2 foul shot attempts per game in the five-game series win over Minnesota.
The Thunder have a lot of depth and are a complete team. But the only other true scorer on the Thunder is Jalen Williams. Chet Holmgren will be that guy sometimes, but it's usually just SGA.
If the Thunder win the NBA Finals, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will likely win the MVP as long as he stays healthy. That's why, if you like the Thunder to win the NBA Finals, consider grabbing SGA to win the Finals MVP at -550. You'll save some bucks.
Ultimately, if he gets hurt, it's hard to imagine the Thunder would win the NBA Finals anyway.
Tyrese Haliburton (+700) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best NBA Finals MVP odds
Tyrese Haliburton added 21 points per game in Indiana's latest series win over the New York Knicks. He also earned 10.5 assists per game and six rebounds, while shooting 45.5% from the field. Yet, that wasn't enough to win the Eastern Conference Finals MVP.
Haliburton is a bit inconsistent as a scorer. He scored 31+ points in multiple games and had two games with 14 points or fewer. He's not always dependable. But he's a terrific leader who puts his team first. Because of that, the Pacers are currently in the NBA Finals.
Haliburton deserves more credit than he gets. But I wouldn't bet on Haliburton at +700 odds when the Pacers are +530 odds to win it all. Haliburton could easily lose the NBA Finals MVP to Pascal Siakam, just like the Eastern Conference Finals MVP.
Pascal Siakam (+1900) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best NBA Finals MVP odds
Pascal Siakam doesn't fill the box score like Tyrese Haliburton. However, he scored more points per game in the Eastern Conference Finals and shot 52.4% from the field. Therefore, he won the Eastern Conference MVP over Haliburton.
Ultimately, Siakam and Haliburton have both made an enormous impact on the Pacers. I don't see how Siakam can have +1900 odds, while Haliburton has +700 odds, especially since Siakam has already won the ECF MVP award.
If you're going to back a Pacers player to win the MVP award, I'd much rather go after Siakam with +1900 odds than Haliburton at +700 odds.
