2025 NBA Finals MVP Odds Update: Could Jalen Williams Steal MVP Award from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in Game 6?
The Oklahoma City Thunder are one win away from hoisting their first Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy. Led by regular season MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder have erased a 2-1 series deficit against the Indiana Pacers.
Oklahoma City has won back-to-back games. Now, the Thunder hold a commanding 3-2 lead ahead of Game 6 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis tonight. Oddsmakers have Oklahoma City at -2500 to win the NBA Finals, making the Pacers a massive underdog to mount a comeback at +1050 odds.
Currently, the NBA Finals MVP futures market has Gilgeous-Alexander as a heavy favorite to win the Bill Russell NBA Finals MVP Award. He's available to bet at -550 odds, followed by teammate Jalen Williams at +600 odds and Pacers F Pascal Siakam at +1100 odds.

2025 NBA Finals MVP Odds
2025 NBA Finals MVP Odds
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (-550)
There's minimal value to acquire on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the NBA Finals MVP futures market at this point. The Thunder's point guard leads all players in this series with 162 total points, averaging 32.4 points per game.
Gilgeous-Alexander also leads Oklahoma City in assists per game (5.0) and blockers per game (1.8) through five matchups against the Indiana Pacers. He's scored at least 31 points in four of five games during this NBA Finals series, while shooting at least 42.9 percent from the field.
Jalen Williams (+600)
Jalen Williams may have an outside chance to win the 2025 NBA Finals MVP over Gilgeous-Alexander. It depends on how these two perform in a potential elimination game on the road tonight.
Williams has become more involved as a point guard, bringing the basketball up the court and helping to run the Thunder's offense. The 24-year-old is averaging 25.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game heading into Game 6.
Williams exploded for 40 points in Game 5, shooting 56 percent from the field and going 3-of-5 from three-point range. His plus-minus rating was +14 during Oklahoma City's 120-109 win against Indiana on Monday.
Another 35 points from Williams could narrow the gap between him and Gilgeous-Alexander in the NBA Finals MVP betting market. At 6-1 odds, I'd recommend sprinkling half a unit (0.50) on Williams to win this award based on the current available price.
Pascal Siakam (+1100)
If there's one Pacers player who could wind up winning the NBA Finals MVP, it's Pascal Siakam. Indiana's PG, Tyrese Haliburton, suffered a calf injury in Game 5. Haliburton was off all night, failing to register a single point during Indiana's double-digit road loss.
Siakam is healthy and easily the most consistent scorer for the Pacers' offense. The 6-8 PF is averaging 20.6 point during the NBA Finals, leading all teammates by at least a five point average. Siakam is also averaging 7.4 rebounds per game, leading Indiana in two critical metrics.
Siakam finished with a series-high 28 points in Game 5. He shot 60 percent from the field, going 3-of-6 from three-point range. He's also racked up five assists in back-to-back games.
Indiana has to win Game 6 and Game 7 for Siakam's NBA Finals MVP odds to become a realistic option. However, if the Pacers record a victory at home on Thursday night, all the pressure goes back onto Oklahoma City heading into Game 7.
A small quarter unit (0.25) sprinkle on Siakam at 11-1 odds is warranted. He's been the most consistent player on both ends of the court for the Pacers during the 2025 NBA Finals.
