The 2026 NBA Draft is loaded with one-and-done freshmen, and Kalshi traders are heavily expecting that group to dominate the top 10. The market has 8+ freshmen drafted in the top 10 at 94%, 9+ freshmen at 85%, and exactly 10 freshmen at 31%.

NBA Draft Top 10 Pick Odds: Will Every Team in First 10 Picks Select a Freshman Star?

The 2026 NBA Draft tips off Tuesday, June 23, at 8 p.m. ET from Barclays Center, with the first round on Tuesday night and the second round on Wednesday. This class has been defined by superstar freshmen from the start, and the top 10 could be almost entirely built around first-year college stars.

The consensus top four is all freshmen, with AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, Cameron Boozer and Caleb Wilson expected to come off the board first in some order. After that, the freshman depth is still strong enough that Keaton Wagler, Mikel Brown Jr., Darius Acuff Jr., Kingston Flemings, Nate Ament and Brayden Burries all have realistic top-10 paths.

NBA Draft Top 10 Freshmen Odds Breakdown

8+ Freshmen Drafted (94%)

The 8+ freshmen market is nearly priced like a lock because the top of the draft is so freshman-heavy. Dybantsa, Peterson, Boozer and Wilson are the clear top four, while Wagler, Brown, Acuff and Flemings all have strong enough cases to land inside the first eight or nine picks.

This outcome does not require everything to break perfectly. It only needs the obvious top four to go as expected and for four more freshmen from the next tier to avoid being jumped by older college players or international prospects. Given how much freshman production is concentrated in the lottery, that is the most stable angle on the board.

There are also not many international stars creating pressure at the very top. Karim Lopez, Hannes Steinbach and others may be in the lottery mix, but this does not look like a draft where international prospects are threatening to push multiple freshmen out of the top 10. That makes 8+ the safest market, even if the price is already very steep.

9+ Freshmen Drafted (85%)

The 9+ freshmen market is still heavily expected at 85%, and it may be the clearest reflection of how strong the class is. If the mock draft follows anything close to the current board, nine freshmen should be gone before the end of the top 10.

The key is the middle of the lottery. Wagler’s Final Four run with Illinois, Acuff’s late-season explosion at Arkansas, Brown’s high-end guard skill, Flemings’ two-way point guard profile, Ament’s upside and Burries’ Arizona production all give teams enough freshman options to keep the board young. Even if one team reaches for an older player, there is enough freshman depth to still get to nine.

This is also where trades matter. If teams move around, the top-10 order could shift toward need or upside, but that does not necessarily hurt the freshman count. Most of the best upside plays are still freshmen, so the market can survive some team-specific surprises unless multiple franchises intentionally target older, more experienced players.

10 Freshmen Drafted (31%)

The 10 freshmen outcome is the value swing because it is essentially a bet that no team breaks the run. At 31%, the market is saying a freshman sweep is very possible but far from automatic.

The biggest obstacle may be Dallas at No. 9 after hiring Dusty May one day before the draft. If the Mavericks use that pick on a May-linked player such as Aday Mara, Morez Johnson Jr. or Yaxel Lendeborg, the clean all-freshman script likely breaks. That is the main reason 10 freshmen is priced much lower than 9+ despite the strength of the class.

Still, the value case is obvious. If Dallas sticks with best-player-available and the freshman board holds, Ament, Burries, Flemings, Brown or Acuff can fill the final top-10 spots without much resistance. This is not a draft where a loaded group of older college stars or elite international prospects is clearly forcing the issue.

Freshmen Top 10 Odds Outlook

The safest read is 9+ freshmen at 85%, because the class is too strong at the top and too deep in the next tier to expect a major freshman fade. The first four picks should all be freshmen, and the next six names are strong enough to keep the market moving in that direction.

The better value angle is 10 freshmen at 31%. It is riskier because one team, especially Dallas, can break the market by taking an older player or May-linked prospect. But if the Mavericks stay within the freshman-heavy consensus and no one reaches for an international or older college name, the full sweep is very live.

This draft has been about freshmen all year, and the top 10 should reflect that. The market is right to make 8+ and 9+ heavily expected, but the 10-freshman outcome is the interesting upside play if the board stays clean.
