Yesterday, we saw one of the most bizarre things ever to happen on the football field. In the middle of the game, Antonio Brown had a sideline tantrum where he took off his pads, threw his shirt into the stands, and stormed off the field shirtless in the middle of the Buccaneers comeback win against the New York Jets.
After the game, Bruce Arians confirmed that the Bucs were cutting A.B. and that he was no longer a part of the organization. Videos of Brown in an Uber were then released in what was just a very odd day for Brown who is no stranger to off-the-field controversy.
Well, naturally, the question for Antonio Brown becomes what's next? Another chance in the NFL seems unlikely but is a fight against Jake Paul in the cards?
Jake Paul vs. Antonio Brown
The Paul brothers have spent the last few years in the ring fighting former athletes and stars and it's made for some interesting drama. Antonio Brown seems like the perfect candidate to be in the ring next.
The boxing matches are almost secondary to the drama and storylines that are stirred up in the lead-up to the fights, again this is right up Brown's alley. As a fighter, Jake Paul has boxed five opponents and he's 5-0 with four knockouts in that span. He's fought and won against AnEsonGib, Nate Robinson, Ben Askren, and Tyron Woodley twice.
Sure, Paul has been pressured to begin fighting more worthy boxing opponents but is this too good of an opportunity to pass up?
Jake Paul vs. Antonio Brown Odds
Name | Odds | Implied Chance |
|---|---|---|
Jake Paul | -260 | 72.22% |
Antonio Brown | +200 | 33.33% |
As expected, Jake Paul would be a massive favorite here. He has more fighting experience and already has five wins in the ring where Antonio Brown has yet to fight. Sure, he's had some boxing training and just two years ago he and Logan Paul had a Twitter beef where some speculated it would lead to a fight nothing ever came of it.
Regardless, it's fun to dream and a Jake Paul vs. Antonio Brown fight would break the internet. We'll have to keep an eye out to see if anything comes of it.
