Francis Ngannou vs. Ciryl Gane Fighter Records: Breaking Down Ngannou, Gane's Record Ahead of UFC 270

This weekend, the entire fight world will have their eyes on UFC 270.

They'll be watching for many reasons. As always, UFC Pay-Per-View events bring together the biggest and best names from MMA. But, this time around, the event will be packed with a little more firepower as Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane meet in the octagon with the heavyweight title on the line. So, it's important we take a look at both Francis Ngannou's fighter record and Ciryl Gane's fighter record ahead of their fight.

Ngannou, the current UFC heavyweight champion, is considered by most to be the most feared man in combat sports. At 6-foot-4 and 263 pounds, without an ounce of fat on him, Ngannou uses his incredible power to strike fear into every single one of his opponents.

Last time he was in the octagon, he took out future UFC Hall of Famer and champion Stipe Miocic with a vicious KO, as he does to almost everyone he faces.

But, Ciryl Gane is a different beast and many think he could be the one to take down Ngannou.

In the ring, Gane doesn't have the same type of stature that Ngannou possesses, but he's a big fighter in his own right.

Where Gane does perhaps hold an advantage is in his grappling skills and athleticism. If he can survive the first round or two, he should be able to wear down the bigger Ngannou and use his technique to get a win.

What happens come Saturday at UFC 270 is as good as anyone's guess. But, we can take a look at their fighter records to try and get an idea of what to expect.

Ciryl Gane Fight History

As for Gane, the interim champ only has 10 professional MMA fights under his belt. But, in that short period of time, Gane has proved to be one of the best fighters on the planet.

After just three pro fights, Ciryl Gane was signed to a UFC contract. He immediately took on Raphael Pessoa, who he defeated, and went on a seven-fight win streak which included wins over Derrick Lewis, Junior Dos Santos and Alexander Volkov.

Ganes doesn't have the same KO power as Ngannou, he has just two in his UFC career, but he has three submission finishes, possessing great understanding of a ground game, especially for a bigger fighter.
