Jones makes his return to the octagon still with a record in professional mixed martial arts competition of 26-1 since becoming the UFC's youngest champion at the age of 23 in 2011. His lone defeat came in the form of a disqualification in 2009 owing to the use of illegal elbows in The Ultimate Fighter. 

After spending the majority of his career as a dominant force in the light heavyweight class, Jones is going to make his debut in the heavyweight division in this bout. 

Ciryl Gane (11-1-0)

Gane is a relative newbie to the professional ranks, with 11-1 under his belt at the age of 32. His lone defeat came at the hands of Francis Ngannou, the most recent heavyweight champion before he left the UFC over a contract dispute. 

Gane is considerably more accustomed to fighting in the heavyweight class, but there is not a significant size gap between the American and the Frenchman. Jones is 6'4" and is said to weigh 255 pounds at the moment, which is an increase of 51 pounds from his most recent UFC weigh-in.
