Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou Fight: Predictions, Odds, and Date for Joshua vs. Ngannou

Francis Ngannou made a name for himself in MMA. He's fought in 20 MMA fights and has 17 wins, with 12 by knockout and four by submission.

He's only lost three times in his MMA career, and 16 of his 17 wins didn't even need to go to a decision.

Eventually, he left the UFC and joined the Professional Fighters League, but he's also engaged in boxing.

He began his professional boxing career against Tyson Fury in October of last year. He even knocked Fury down in the third round and took the fight all the way to the scorecards. Fury won despite a controversial split decision. After all, Fury landed 12 more punches than Ngannou in that fight.

Either way, Ngannou has some eyes on him heading into his second professional boxing match against Anthony Joshua at "Knockout Chaos." Joshua has won 27 bouts in 30 total fights. He's also won 24 of them by knockout and has only three losses in his career. Joshua's accolades speak for themself.

So, can this MMA star really outshine one of the best boxers in the world on Friday?

Anthony Joshua has much more experience boxing professionally. That's why he's ultimately a -400 favorite to win this match against Ngannou.

Meanwhile, for a professional boxer making just his second career appearance, being -300 against Joshua says something.

Ngannou had a legitimate chance to defeat Fury last year. Some scorecards even suggested he might've won. Ngannou can't be taken lightly anymore. He's a freak of an athlete with legitimate power.

Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou Prediction

While Ngannou looked terrific in his first bout, Tyson Fury ultimately looked the opposite and still defeated Ngannou.

Fury seemingly didn't take Ngannou seriously and looked out of shape in that fight.

But now Ngannou is facing someone who is still trying to win the heavyweight title again. Joshua won't come out looking out of shape against Ngannou. There's too much on the line in this fight for Joshua to be disinterested and out of shape.

On the other hand, I still believe Ngannou has a strong enough chin to let this fight do the distance. Ngannou showed off some good defense against Fury and could do the same against Joshua in this bout.

This isn't what the fans want to see, but a decision win from Joshua is my favorite play, sitting at +400.
