As for Dustin Poirier, in 34 fights he has just 13 knockouts but seven submissions.

Both fighters measure in at 5-foot-9 and 155 pounds. But, Conor McGregor actually has a two-inch reach advantage over Poirier, something he will definitely look to take advantage of come Saturday night at UFC 264.

Conor McGregor Recent Fights

Conor McGregor’s record in the UFC started out on fire. He won nine of his first ten fights within the company, including a win over Dustin Poirier in 2014, and became the biggest fighter in the sport. Some question if he may have even passed the UFC in popularity at this point.

But, Conor McGregor’s fight record has taken a hit lately as he’s lost two of his last three fights since 2018.

His first loss of this recent stretch was hardly something to worry about. McGregor lost via submission to Khabib Nurmagomedov, one of the greatest UFC fighters ever. He followed it up with a memorable win over Donald Cerrone but hit a roadblock earlier this year.

In January 2021, Dustin Poirier finally got his rematch against Conor McGregor and didn’t disappoint. Poirier uses a volley of leg kicks to weaken McGregor before ending it with a TKO victory in Round 2.
