What many are touting as the greatest night of combat sports in history is now just days away, as UFC 300 from Las Vegas, Nevada, is set to arrive on Saturday night. With 13 fights in total, each of them could stand alone to be a main event on any other night.

Charles Oliveira vs. Arman Tsarukyan at UFC 300

Charles Oliveira (34-9-0)

Once written off early in his career with the UFC, Oliveira began an 11-fight win streak in 2018 that saw him ascend to the lightweight belt over the next four years. Along the way, he took out one future hall of famer after the next, picking up wins against Michael Chandler, Dustin Poirier, and Justin Gaethje. Ultimately, current champion Islam Makhachev took his belt, but Oliveira bounced right back beating Beneil Dariush in June of last year.

Arman Tsarukyan (21-3-0)

Joining the UFC in 2019 with a decision loss to Makhachev, Tsarukyan has been a problem since, going 8-1 in the time since including wins over Dariush, Matt Frevola, and Joaquim Silva, to name a few. A well-rounded fighter who relies on a quality mix of takedowns and striking, many believe Tsarukyan is a future champ, but this will be a significant step up in opponents.

Charles Oliveira vs. Arman Tsarukyan Prediction

Just like we saw a few weeks ago with Poirier quieting the hype around BSD, I think we see the same here with Oliveira. Make no mistake, if it not for Islam’s rise to be champion, Oliveira would still be the undisputed champion of this division, and I think we see a reminder of that on Saturday night.
