Alex Pereira vs. Jamahal Hill Odds: Pereira Given 56% Chance to Beat Hill at UFC 300

Looking for Alex Pereira vs. Jamahal Hill odds? We got you covered!

Things took an interesting turn on Thursday night for UFC 300, as Dana White announced Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night bonuses would be raised to $300,000. With a new sense of urgency in all fights, perhaps none will be more affected than Saturday’s main event light heavyweight title fight between Alex Pereira and Jamahal, two guys already predisposed to violence.

As the week comes to a close, let’s take a closer look at where the odds have landed, both fighters form, and who I like to walk away from this one victorious when all is said and done.

Alex Pereira vs. Jamahal Hill UFC 300 Odds

When the odds for this light heavyweight title fight opened a couple of months ago, the champ Pereira was listed as high as -160. Since then, the money has come in on the challenger, as Hill now sits at -110 with fight night just over a day away.

Alex Pereira vs. Jamahal Hill UFC 300 Prediction

Alex Pereira (9-2-0)

No fighter in the history of the UFC has seen more of a meteoric rise than Alex Pereira, who through just 11 professional MMA fights has already claimed a middleweight and light heavy UFC belt. After a trilogy against Israel Adesanya at middleweight, Pereira moved up to light heavyweight, first beating Jan Blachowicz at UFC 291 via split decision, before receiving his first shot at a belt. After handling Jiri Prochazka in the second round via TKO at UFC 295, Pereira claimed the light heavyweight strap which was vacant at the time.

Jamahal Hill (12-1-0)

The vacant belt that Pereira made his own, was idle because of Hill, who won the belt over Glover Teixeira, Pereira’s coach, just a year prior. In preparation for his first title defense, Hill tore his Achilles playing basketball, an injury he’s just now recovering from. Before the injury, Hill had gone 6-1 in the UFC on his way to the belt, as he looks to get it back Saturday night.

Alex Pereira vs. Jamahal Hill Pick

With Tex in his corner, Pereira has a big advantage in this one in my opinion as he already has the strengths and weaknesses built into his game plan. For my money, the Poatan era is just getting started, and I think we see him make a statement in this one.

Pick: Alex Pereira (-130) at DraftKings Sportsbook
