5 minUFC 301: Alexandre Pantoja vs. Steve Erceg Odds, Date, How to Watch, and Predictions for UFC 301
The wait is nearly over, as UFC 301 live from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is now just days away. At the top of the card, Alexandre Pantoja will put his flyweight belt on the line for the second time, this time against a red-hot Aussie in Steve Erceg. While there are great fights throughout this UFC 301 card, including the return of the King of Brazil Jose Aldo in the co-main, the title fight in the main event is no doubt carrying this PPV.
Let’s take a deeper dive into both Pantoja and Erceg, where the odds have landed for this one, and who I like to walk away victorious.

Alexandre Pantoja vs. Steve Erceg UFC 301 Prediction
Alexandre Pantoja (27-5-0)
Joining the UFC in 2016 via The Ultimate Fighter, Pantoha has fought all of the best flyweights in the world in the time since, with early wins against Brandon Moreno and Matt Schnell solidifying his position in this sport. The real corner was turned in 2021, however, following a win over Manel Kape before three straight wins on his way to the belt.
Steve Erceg (12-1-0)
Compared to Pantoja’s journey, the road to a title shot was much shorter for Erceg, who will get this shot less than a year since joining the UFC in June 2023 with a last-minute win over David Dvorak. Taking care of Alessandro Costa and Schnell in the time since, Erceg has a chance at making history at flyweight earning a title with just three UFC wins prior.
Alexandre Pantoja vs. Steve Erceg Pick
After beating Moreno in their rematch via split decision, Pantoja quickly shook off the talks he was riding too high in a five-round domination of Brandon Royval in December. Unlike other champs, I think Pantoja truly isn’t looking past anyone and takes care of the inexperienced Erceg in relatively short order.
