Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler Odds: Bettors Backing Chandler to Beat McGregor at UFC 303

With the conclusion of UFC 302, the hype is building for UFC 303.

Connor McGregor will headline UFC 303 in a matchup against Michael Chandler. McGregor is mostly known for his time in the octagon in 2015 and 2016. But he's only won one fight in his last four fights in the Octagon. He also hasn't fought since July 2021, when he lost to Dustin Poirier.

Meanwhile, Michael Chandler's last fight was also against Dustin Poirier. He lost to Poirier in 2022 and, like McGregor, has lost three of his last four fights.

Chandler has fought more recently but waited for this bout against McGregor and didn't fight at all in 2023. Instead, he coached against McGregor in The Ultimate Fighter reality series in 2023.

Leading up to the event, the press conference in Dublin was already postponed to a later date. However, UFC didn't provide a reason for the postponement. That said, there's no indication that this fight won't happen. It's ultimately set to break records with a live gate revenue of over $20 million.

That said, check out the UFC 303 odds between McGregor and Chandler below.

When Dana White was asked about Conor McGregor's partying videos a month away from the fight, White exclaimed that those videos could be fake, but he wasn't completely sure

White pointed out that some videos are with a beard and some aren't. The reality is that McGregor keeps pointing to this fight as the "biggest comeback ever."

He knows how to prepare for these types of events and is one of the most detail-oriented guys in the sport, so who knows?

That said, McGregor hasn't fought in the UFC since 2021 and has lost three of his last four fights. He wasn't his old self, and it showed. This potential break might've helped him clear his mind.

Michael Chandler (71.88%)

While Chandler has also lost three of his last four, he certainly seems to have been more competitive.

Interestingly, Dustin Poirier, who defeated McGregor and Chandler, believes Chandler will get knocked out if McGregor is back to his old form. Poirier believes it's a mad matchup for Chandler all around.

Ultimately, McGregor is very tactical and could sneak in some big hits on Chandler. Chandler isn't always the best at defending himself from major blows when standing up.

All of this info is why the two are currently almost even on the odds board.
