Season 10 has already set a high standard through its first two weeks. Week 1 produced four UFC contracts, with Anthony Wint, Bilal Hasan, Thomas Pagliarulo and Joe Kropschot earning roster spots. Wint and Hasan made particularly loud statements with first-round finishes, including Wint needing just 34 seconds to stop Matt Adams.

Week 2 somehow raised the bar even higher. Dana White handed out six contracts after all five winners earned UFC deals along with Taner Trembley despite his loss to Roman Gabriel Puga. With 10 contracts already awarded through two weeks, the pressure is on another group of prospects to deliver the type of performance that leaves White little choice on Tuesday night.

Contender Series Full Card Odds Breakdown - Tuesday, August 25th Episode 3

Carlos Petruzzella (+190) vs. Nick Galanti (-230)

The opener pits experience and finishing ability against one of the more polished grappling prospects on the card. Petruzzella enters at 15-1 and has never needed the judges in a victory, producing seven knockouts and eight submissions. His biggest question is competition level after his lone step into LFA ended in a first-round stoppage loss, although he has since responded with consecutive first-round finishes.

Galanti is only 7-1 but enters on a five-fight winning streak and recently captured the CFFC middleweight championship. Four of his seven victories have come by submission, and his wrestling and jiu-jitsu represent a significant test for an opponent whose aggressive style has historically produced chaotic fights. The -230 price reflects the market's belief that Galanti's more controlled grappling can neutralize Petruzzella's finishing threat.

Ronald Humphrey (-1100) vs. Alexis Miranda (+700)

Few prospects on this season of DWCS have produced a more violent start to their careers than Humphrey. The 25-year-old is 4-0 as a professional with four first-round knockouts, following an amateur career in which all four of his wins also ended in the opening round. His combination of explosive takedowns, pressure and ground-and-pound has made him one of Tuesday's biggest favorites.

Miranda provides a major experience jump at 9-2 and has lost only once in his last nine appearances. The Mexican welterweight has never been finished professionally, with both career defeats coming by decision, which creates the night's most obvious question: can Humphrey maintain his perfect first-round finishing streak against someone who has consistently survived?

Gary Balletto Jr. (+750) vs. Sean Clancy Jr. (-1200)

Clancy arrives from Cage Warriors as one of the card's most highly regarded prospects. The 23-year-old Scot is a perfect 8-0 with five knockouts and three submissions, meaning every professional victory has come inside the distance. He captured the interim Cage Warriors welterweight championship in his most recent appearance and has developed against considerably strong regional competition.

Balletto is far more experienced at 11-3 and has also finished every professional victory, including seven submissions. He has won four straight, but his last two defeats came against future UFC fighters Billy Ray Goff and Jeremiah Wells, both by knockout. That history helps explain why Clancy is an enormous -1200 favorite despite Balletto's strong record and finishing pedigree.

Mario Piazzon (+124) vs. Guilherme Uriel (-148)

This is the closest moneyline on the card and also a rare DWCS matchup in which both fighters have already experienced the show. Piazzon is 12-1 with nine finishes and technically won his first Contender Series appearance in 2023, but the victory came by disqualification after Alexander Soldatkin landed an illegal knee. He did not receive a contract and now returns three years later looking for a much more convincing result.

Uriel is 7-2 with all seven victories coming inside the distance. His first DWCS opportunity ended in a second-round knockout loss to Josh Hokit last August, but he bounced back by stopping Leonardo Fraga in the first round in March. With both heavyweights carrying legitimate finishing power and something to prove after unsuccessful first opportunities, this is arguably the most evenly matched contract fight of the night.

Bella Mir (-3600) vs. Alex Apodaca (+1500)

The main event centers on one of the most recognizable prospects ever to enter the Contender Series. Bella Mir, daughter of former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir, is 4-0 in professional MMA with three first-round submissions. The 23-year-old is also an NCAA national champion wrestler, has competed successfully under the UFC BJJ banner and was previously the UFC's first NIL ambassador while still in college.

Apodaca enters at 3-1 and has won three straight since losing her professional debut. All three victories have come by decision, including a win over Devon McDonald in July, so her path to the upset likely revolves around surviving Mir's early grappling pressure and forcing the undefeated prospect into areas of the fight she has rarely had to navigate.

The betting market makes the storyline clear. Mir is an extraordinary -3600 favorite with Apodaca at +1500, turning the main event into less of a question about who is expected to win and more about whether Mir can produce the type of dominant finish that immediately earns a UFC contract.
