On one side of the FCS bracket, we've seen a pretty chalk finish as No. 2 North Dakota State takes on No. 3 James Madison in the semifinals. But, on the other side, it's been complete mayhem, which brings us to the latest South Dakota State vs. Montana State odds.

Montana State came into the FCS tournament as the No. 8 seed. They defeated UT Martin in the second round but came up against the top-seeded and unbeaten Sam Houston State in the quarterfinals as massive underdogs. The Bobcats responded by trouncing Sam Houston, 42-19, and booking their spot in the FCS semifinals.

Meanwhile, South Dakota State was in the midst of a down year. They lost three games in the regular season and entered the postseason unseeded and ranked No. 13 in the country. But, following three straight playoff wins, they find themselves in the semifinals as well.

If you're a fan of high-powered rushing attacks, you're in luck when South Dakota State and Montana State face off this weekend in Bozeman.

For Montana State, Isaiah Ifanse leads the way with 1,539 rushing yards and 10 TDs on the season. He averages 5.9 yards per carry and is fresh off a 24-carry, 105-yard performance in the lopsided win over Sam Houston State. That's a lot of work for Ifanse, but luckily for the Bobcats they have a dual-threat QB that can take some of the load off Ifanse.

Freshman QB Tommy Mellott took over for former starter Matthew McKay in the Bobcats' playoff game against UT Martin and never looked back. The freshman has rushed for 550 yards this season on just 76 carries. Against UT Martin, he carried it 23 times for 180 yards. If Montana State is going to win, They need big games from both Ifanse and Mellott.

As for South Dakota State, they also have a strong run game, but they have a little more stability at the QB position with senior Chris Oladokun. Oladokun has thrown for 2,849 yards and 24 TD while throwing just 6 INT.

As for the SDSU rushing attack, it's led by juinor Pierre Strong Jr., who has rushed for 1,579 yards and 17 TDs at a 7.0 YPC clip. Freshman RB Isaiah Davis is also someone to watch as he comes in averaging 8 yards per carry on 86 attempts this season.
