The Alabama quarterback is given +250 odds, or an implied 28.6% chance to win a second straight Heisman. His biggest competition is believed to be Ohio State quarterback CJ Stroud who’s given +350 odds, or an implied 22.2% chance to win the award. Those two aren’t alone though. Newly minted USC Trojan Carson Williams is given +800 odds, or an implied 11.1% chance to come out on top.

Then oddsmakers look at big-name longshots. Clemson’s DJ Uiagalelei is given +1500 odds to rebound from an awful season by winning the Heisman. New Oklahoma QB Dillon Gabriel is given +3000 odds to show that his numbers at UCF were no fluke. Georgia backup QB JT Daniels is given +3000 odds to win his job back and take the Heisman. Meanwhile, Stetson Bennett isn’t even listed on the opening market.

The first non-QB on the market is exactly the same as last year, Texas running back Bijan Robinson. The electric running back is given +5000 odds, or a 2% chance of becoming the first running back to win the award since Derrick Henry in 2015.
