College Football National Championship Odds Breakdown
Georgia has the best odds to win the National Championship after they steamrolled South Carolina over the weekend. They are +175 to win it all after winning it last year, and look like a dominant force once again.
This year though, they are not the most backed team. Alabama, at +200 is the most backed with 18% of the bets on Alabama. The Crimson Tide have six titles under Nick Saban, the most recent one coming in 2020.
Alabama is led by Heisman hopeful Bryce Young. Young won the award last year and has a great chance to win it again. Through three games he has nine touchdowns and a 162.1 rating.
Ohio State is a good one too led by CJ Stroud. Stroud has 11 touchdowns in three games and a rating of 208.6. What sets Ohio State and Alabama apart from Georgia is the quarterback play.
Stetson Bennett of Georgia has been good this year but isn't the same caliber of quarterback of either of these other two quarterbacks. For that reason, and that reason alone, I see why Ohio State and Alabama are more popular bets.
