The bad news for Caleb Williams and USC fans is that last night's loss to Utah in the Pac-12 Championship crushed their National Championship dreams once and for all. The good news for the Trojans' starting QB is that it barely impacted Caleb Williams' Heisman odds.
Two weeks ago, Caleb Williams' Heisman odds sat at +1200 as he was on the outside looking in behind CJ Stroud and Blake Corum. Last week, Stroud's odds shot up to +125 after the Trojans beat rival UCLA.
Earlier this week, after Ohio State lost to Michigan, Williams' Heisman odds were completely slashed, going from +125 to -2000. Now, even though the Trojans looked completely overwhelmed by Utah on Friday, they still sit about there at most sportsbooks.
Williams looks as though he will still win the Heisman Trophy, but I'm sure he'd give it up for a shot at the National Championship. Now, the Trojans will have to settle for a bowl game with far less on the line than they were originally expecting.

It's hard to really gauge Caleb Williams' performance in Friday's Pac-12 Championship and how much it should impact his Heisman odds. After all, USC's loss to Utah is likely the biggest college football news of the weekend.
The Trojans came out of the gate on fire, getting out to a 17-0 lead in the first half, most of which was due to Williams' superb play. But, in the second half, they scored just 7 points and were outgained by Utah by over 130 yards, due in large part to an injury Williams suffered.
