We have a battle of two 6-6 teams in the 2022 Liberty Bowl as Kansas will take on Arkansas. Although both teams finished 6-6, they were once ranked within the top 25 of the College Football rankings. This one could get interesting if both teams play the way they can.

It would be tough to argue that these haven't been two of the more inconsistent teams in the nation this season. There was even a point in the middle of the year when people thought Arkansas and Kansas could finish within the top 10 and have a chance at playing in a high-level bowl game. Instead, they got stuck in the Liberty Bowl.

We should see points in this game. Kansas has a potent offense and Arkansas can also put points on the board at will. Neither team has the best defense, either.

As we can see from the Kansas vs. Arkansas odds, oddsmakers aren't favoring either team much here. However, it's important to point out how high the total is.

Kansas has an opportunity to win its first bowl game since 2008. While it might be a tough task against this Arkansas team, Kansas has proven that they can win games when they're on their game.

Arkansas is going to rely on their run game, just as they have all season. Raheim Sanders, a sophomore out of Florida, rushed for over 1,400 yards and also added 10 touchdowns. He was incredible for the Razorbacks and many believe he has a chance to be the top RB in America next season.

However, the run game could take a massive hit as Arkansas has players on the offensive front that opted out for this game. Ricky Stromberg is the big name out for the Razorbacks.

If Kansas is going to win this game, Jalon Daniels is going to be the reason why. At one point, he put himself in Heisman contention because of his duel-threat ability. On the season, he rushed for 398 yards and six touchdowns. Daniels also led the nation in QBR with 1,470 yards, 13 touchdowns, and just two interceptions. He missed games due to an injury and that's when Kansas started going back to their losing ways.

The Kansas vs. Arkansas odds are favoring Arkansas, but it might not be a bad idea to back the Jayhawks here.

Kansas doesn't have as many opt-outs as Arkansas, but there are still a few. Arkansas has a ton of opt-outs, whether that be due to the transfer portal or players getting ready for the 2023 NFL Draft.

Kansas vs. Arkansas Prediction

When looking at this game, I think that this is a trap line. While I understand that Arkansas has a chance to win this game by more than 2.5 points, my prediction is going to be backing Kansas at +2.5.

If Kansas can come out and do what they did when Daniels was healthy, I love them here. He came back in November and the team didn't play well, but now he had a month off to get healthy. I think we see a full-strength Daniels here and he leads the Jayhawks to a tough win.
