The Army Black Knights started the season with a loss to Louisiana-Monroe, 17-13. However, the Black Knights rebounded with a win over Delaware State, 57-0.
Army didn't look good in Week 1. However, they'll still be competitive this year. The Black Knights will take on the UTSA Roadrunners, who lost to Houston 17-14 and only defeated Texas State 20-13.
If you like offense, this might not be the game for you. UTSA has allowed just 288 yards per game on the defensive end. Meanwhile, the Black Knights have allowed 258.5 yards per game on the defensive side.
Here's a breakdown of the odds in tonight's matchup between Army and UTSA.

Army vs. UTSA Preview
I don't think the Army is getting enough love.
UTSA hasn't scored more than 20 points in a game this season, but the Roadrunners are eight-point favorites in tonight's ball game.
I'm not buying it.
Army's defense will get plenty of stops against UTSA. The defense has allowed just 143 yards per game in the air and only 115.5 yards on the ground. Army hasn't faced talent like UTSA. However, the secondary has played lights out, and the run defense is still solid
They'll be a challenge for UTSA.
UTSA's Frank Harris is a veteran quarterback. But he's thrown more interceptions than touchdowns to begin the year. Harris is in his fifth season with the Roadrunners, but he's only thrown 423 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions. He's got a QBR of 47.2, which is 91st in college football.
He's not putting up veteran-like stats right now.
Plus, has anyone watched UTSA try and tackle? They've missed countless tackles to begin the season. It's tough to tackle against a triple-option offense that the Army runs. Sometimes, you don't even know who has the ball. Other times, the Army will send a fullback to run over the opposition.
So far, Bryson Daily has earned 128 yards on the ground as the quarterback of the Army. However, he's also thrown the ball 22 times and has completed over 59% of passes for 314 yards. The Black Knights might have a sneaky passing game. That would complement the run game well against UTSA.
Army vs. UTSA Odds
The Army Black Knights are 7.5-point underdogs against the UTSA Roadrunners tonight. Army is sitting at +240, with UTSA at -300 on the moneyline.
Oddsmakers predict that UTSA will win this game 75% of the time. But that other 25% could be tonight.
Army matches up well against UTSA, as suggested above.
If you're not interested in betting on a team, the total is 43.5. I think we see a low-scoring, defensive battle. Therefore, any bets on the Army and the Under would be right tonight.
Team | Point Spread | Moneyline Odds | Over/Under |
|---|---|---|---|
Army | +7.5 | +240 | Over 43.5 |
UTSA | -7.5 | -300 | Under 43.5 |
