College Football Bowl Game Predictions: Bowl Game Predictions Entering Week 5 of the Season

A lot has changed after Week 4's matchups.

We had a stunning amount of top-25 ranked matchups last weekend. Some of those games told us a lot about some teams.

The slate won't be like that this weekend. But for now, we'll put together our bowl predictions with help from last weekend's results.

College Football Bowl Game Prediction

Rose Bowl (CFB Semifinal)

Michigan Wolverines vs. Florida State Seminoles

The Michigan Wolverines didn't look sensational against Rutgers last weekend. But another second-half push was enough for a 24-point victory in Jim Harbough's return to the field.

On the other hand, Florida State didn't look like the better team against Clemson on the road. But the Seminoles escaped Clemson with an overtime win to stay undefeated.

Although Clemson wasn't ranked, Florida State's win on the road was massive.

Sugar Bowl (CFB Semifinal)

Georgia Bulldogs vs. Texas Longhorns

Georgia defeated UAB, and Texas earned a win against Baylor. There is nothing to see here except that two semifinalists did what they were supposed to do.

Cotton Bowl

USC Trojans vs. Ohio State Buckeyes

The Ohio State Buckeyes earned an incredible win over Notre Dame last weekend. It wasn't good enough to move them into the Top Four. But they'll have their opportunities against Penn State and Michigan later this season.

On the other hand, USC earned a win over Arizona State on the road. The defense allowed 28 points, so that wasn't good. But overall, the Trojans are still expected to be the best Pac-12 team.

Peach Bowl

LSU Tigers vs. Duke Blue Devils

The LSU Tigers escaped Arkansas last weekend with a three-point win. Those games against Arkansas are always close. But they'll need to figure out their secondary issues fast.

On the other hand, Duke is undefeated and will take on Notre Dame this weekend. A win against Notre Dame at home would prove that Duke is an ACC contender moving forward.

Orange Bowl

Miami Hurricanes vs. Alabama Crimson Tide

The Alabama Crimson Tide knocked off the Ole Miss Rebels in a home game where the defense showed out. There are questions about the offense with Jalen Milroe at quarterback. But he'll give the Crimson Tide the best chance of winning.

On the other hand, Miami only defeated Temple last weekend on the road. There's nothing to see there. But I still like Miami as the third-best ACC team over North Carolina.

Fiesta Bowl

Penn State Nittany Lions vs. Washington Huskies

This would be a fun one.

Penn State destroyed Iowa 31-0, and Washington scored 59 in its win against California last weekend.

Penn State and Washington both have bigger aspirations. Both teams believe they can compete for a National Championship.

We'll see what happens!
