After yesterday's performances, a few teams have dropped out of the Top 25. Meanwhile, we've got some new teams that have earned top-25 status heading into Week 6.
Let's talk about it below.
College Football Week 6 Top 25 Power Rankings
1. Georgia
Does Georgia seriously look like the best team in the nation?
No.
Will they lose a game in the regular season?
Also no.
2. Michigan
Michigan took care of business against Nebraska on the road, 45-7. That'll do.
3. Florida State
Florida State had a bye week. They'll take on Virginia Tech at home this weekend.
4. Texas
Texas hasn't faced big-time quarterbacks this season. They'll get one against Oklahoma on Saturday.
5. Ohio State
The Ohio State Buckeyes stay put after a bye-week. Their win against Notre Dame could've easily been a loss last weekend, but it wasn't. They're one spot away from a CFP berth.
6. USC
The USC offense is elite. The defense is not. We saw the defense against Tulane last year. That defense will cost Caleb Williams a National Title.
7. Washington
A 31-24 win doesn't excite you if you're a Washington fan. The expectation was that Washington would earn a multiple-touchdown win. But a win is a win. Washington looks great with Michael Penix Jr. at quarterback.
8. Penn State
It took an entire half for Penn State to figure things out. But eventually, Penn State dominated Northwestern in the second half on the road. That's just the Big Ten way for the top-tier teams in the conference.
9. Oregon
Oregon trailed 6-0 to Stanford on the road. And then the Ducks scored 42 unanswered to win, 42-6.
10. Alabama
Alabama scored 40 points against Miss State. The Crimson Tide are heading in the right direction offensively.
11. Notre Dame
12. Oklahoma
Oklahoma can move into the Top 10 with a win over the Longhorns in the Red River Rivalry.
13. Miami
14. North Carolina
15. Tennessee
Tennessee earned a 21-point win against South Carolina. That'll put them in the top 15.
16. Washington State
17. Ole Miss
18. Missouri
19. Oregon State
Oregon State's win against Utah on Friday stood out.
20. Kansas State
21. Duke
22. Utah
23. Kentucky
24. Louisville
Welcome to the Top 25, Louisville. Now beat Notre Dame at home.
