College Football Bowl Game Predictions: Bowl Game Predictions Entering Week 6 of the Season

If you've been following along, you'll notice a few changes to this week's edition of the Bowl Game Predictions.

The College Football Playoff games haven't changed. But some of the other major Bowls have new teams making their way up the College Football Rankings.

Let's get to it!

College Football Bowl Game Prediction

Rose Bowl (CFB Semifinal)

Michigan Wolverines vs. Florida State Seminoles

The Michigan Wolverines took care of business against Nebraska last weekend. They'll stay as the No. 2 team in the nation.

On the other hand, Florida State is still the third-best team in college football. The Seminoles didn't play last weekend due to a bye week. They won't be penalized for that.

Still, the ACC is a gauntlet this year. We'll see how far the Seminoles can go.

Sugar Bowl (CFB Semifinal)

Georgia Bulldogs vs. Texas Longhorns

The Georgia Bulldogs don't look the same as last year. But as long as they win, they'll be the No. 1 team in the nation.

Georgia escaped Auburn with a seven-point win despite being a two-touchdown favorite.

On the other hand, Texas earned a solid win against Kansas. But a win against Oklahoma this week would really prove that the Longhorns belong.

Cotton Bowl

USC Trojans vs. Ohio State Buckeyes

The Ohio State Buckeyes and USC Trojans would rather play in the CFP Playoff. All these two teams have to do is win their conferences.

Ohio State would knock out Michigan, and USC would earn a massive conference title against the most challenging division in college football this season, in the Pac 12.

USC has one of the best offenses in the nation. But the defense isn't excellent. On the other hand, Ohio State is the opposite. The offense has underperformed, while the defense has been amazing.

Either way, this would be a fun matchup between two significant programs.

Caleb Williams is still the overwhelming Heisman favorite, but there are names closing the distance

Peach Bowl

Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Miami Hurricanes

After LSU's loss to Ole Miss, the Alabama Crimson Tide would play in the Peach Bowl against the Miami Hurricanes.

I'm more of believe in the Hurricanes than the Tar Heels. You can check out this week's power rankings for more on that.

Miami and North Carolina had bye weeks last weekend. Typically, the Tar Heels struggle off bye weeks. We'll see how they do against the Syracuse Orange this weekend.

Orange Bowl

North Carolina Tar Heels vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

This is almost like a rivalry game. I'm not sure North Carolina fans would want to see this. Notre Dame typically dominates North Carolina. But these two teams have played a lot over the last decade.

The most recent win was in 2022, with a 45-32 loss to Notre Dame.

But after the Fighting Irish knocked off Duke last weekend, they're back in the mix for a NY6 Bowl bid.

Fiesta Bowl

Penn State Nittany Lions vs. Washington Huskies

This hasn't changed. Penn State and Washington took care of business last weekend and will remain in their spots heading into Week 6. The Nittany Lions are one of the best defenses in the nation. They'd go up against one of the best offenses in the country, with Michael Penix Jr. leading the way for Washington.
