We've got plenty of risers and newcomers in this week's edition of the NCAA Football rankings.
This week's game between Penn State and Ohio State should shake things up even more. But here are my rankings as we head into Week 8.
College Football Week 8 Top 25 Power Rankings
1. Georgia
Georgia's schedule is what it is. They beat Vanderbilt and are still the best team in college football.
2. Michigan
The Wolverines are clicking on all cylinders right now. A date against Michigan State is always scary. But Michigan probably shouldn't be worried too much after Rutgers just erased an 18-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat Michigan State.
3. Ohio State
Ohio State dominated Purdue. But now they'll welcome Penn State to town in the biggest college football game of Week 8.
4. Florida State
Florida State took care of business against Syracuse, 41-3. That was the Seminoles' best performance this season.
5. Washington
Washington earned a massive Pac-12 win over Oregon. That helped for the Pac-12 and for the College Football Playoff.
6. Penn State
Penn State's 62-point win against UMass will keep them rising in the rankings.
7. Alabama
Alabama doesn't look like Alabama of old. But the defense will carry them far. A 24-21 win against Arkansas isn't pretty. But it's a win.
8. Oklahoma
Oklahoma didn't play last weekend. But the win against Texas is still in the back of my head.
9. North Carolina
North Carolina's win against Miami was impressive. Drake Maye is finally starting to play at a high level.
10. Texas
Texas didn't play last weekend. They'll have a road game against Houston this weekend. I'd like to imagine they'll stay in the Top 10.
11. Tennessee
12. Oregon
13. Oregon State
14. Duke
Duke escaped North Carolina State without Riley Leonard. Duke's in a great spot if he's back for this weekend's game against Louisville.
15. Ole Miss
16. Utah
17. LSU
The LSU Tigers got a home game against Auburn and finally played solid defense last weekend.
18. Notre Dame
19. USC
USC's defense is atrocious.
When Caleb Williams doesn't play his absolute best, this team isn't even a Top 25 team.
20. Air Force
21. James Madison
22. Iowa
23. Missouri
24. Tulane
25. Liberty
