Heisman Watch: Heisman Rankings Heading into Week 8
A lot has changed in the Heisman race after the Week 7 results.
Caleb Williams and the USC Trojans looked dreadful against Notre Dame. Meanwhile, Michael Penix Jr. outshined Bo Nix in one of the best college football games we've watched this season.
The Heisman Odds heading into Week 8 are below.

2023 Heisman Watch
Michael Penix Jr's The Clear Favorite! (Bet $140 to collect $240)
Michael Penix Jr. and the Washington Huskies just knocked off Oregon with a 36-33 win at home in Week 7. This pushed Penix Jr. over the top. He's now the clear Heisman favorite.
Penix Jr. threw four touchdowns with one interception but added 302 yards passing.
He's got a completion percentage of 72.1% and has thrown for 2,301 yards this season. He's also added 20 touchdowns and just three interceptions this season.
JJ McCarthy's Rise To The Top (+1000) (Bet $100 to collect $1100)
JJ McCarthy had moments where he struggled a lot. But he's turned it on since his head coach arrived on the sideline.
McCarthy leads the nation in QBR, with a 92.6 number. He also added 14 completions on just 17 attempts against Indiana, where he threw for 222 yards and three touchdowns.
McCarthy won't put up the numbers that other quarterbacks will. But as long as Michigan wins, he'll be in the face.
Drake Maye's Not Getting Enough Love (+1700) (Bet $100 to collect $1800)
Drake Maye moved up from +1800 to +1700 after he threw four touchdowns for 272 yards against a top-25 Miami team last night.
Maye completed only 51.5% of his passes. That was the one downfall. However, he had completed at least 70% of his passes in every other game and has still completed nearly 69% of passes this season.
Maye's got Tez Walker on the field. That's helped his play tremendously. On the Heisman board, I think Maye is being undervalued.
