NFL MVP Odds: Kyler Murray This Week's Most Backed to Win MVP

Last year’s Offensive Rookie of the Year Kyler Murray comes into the 2020 season with tons of reasons for optimism.
He’s in his second year under head coach Kliff Kingsbury, has a solid running back behind him and the addition of wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins gives Murray one of the most talented group of offensive skill players in the NFL.
Now, with the regular season upon us, bettors have begun to back Murray to win the highest individual honor in the sport, Most Valuable Player.
Murray, who is currently +2800 to win MVP, has been the most-backed option to win this week. As of Thursday, 23.53% of all bets within the market have been on the former No. 1 overall pick. His odds imply a 3.4% chance to win.
Patriots QB Cam Newton’s best odds of +3300 give him a 2.9% chance to win. He’s the second most backed option this past week with 15.69% of wagers behind him.
Murray would be the third straight quarterback to win the award in his second season in the league. Patrick Mahomes won it in 2018 before Lamar Jackson took home MVP last season.
