NFL Odds: Arizona Cardinals Most Backed For Super Bowl Win After Opening Sunday
There have been times this year when it felt unlikely we'd see an NFL Sunday again before 2021 but yesterday we welcomed football back and it was incredible.
On a night full of intrigue and surprises there was no bigger shock than the Arizona Cardinals' sensational 24-20 victory over last year's beaten Super Bowl finalists, the San Francisco 49ers.
DeAndre Hopkins had a stellar performance, reaching a career high in targets and finishing with over 150 yards. Seeing him gel with Kyler Murray so early, was great for not only Cardinals' fans but also bettors, who have flocked to back the Cardinals today.
In the 12 hours since the end of Sunday Night Football, Arizona have been by far the most backed team to win the Super Bowl, accounting for a huge 30.67% of bets in that timeframe.
The Cards have been a sleeper pick for many this offseason, and as we revealed last week, they were the 10th most backed team before the season started, with OddsChecker.
Last night's performance over their divisional rivals has highlighted just how excellent they could be this season, having improved on offense but also crucially getting stronger on the other side of the ball too.
There is still a huge shift in prices for Arizona, with Kyler Murray's team as short as +2000 with one book and as long as +4500 with another. There's still value out there on the Cardinals and if you're a believer then it's best to act quick and grab that value before it's gone. It's also another reason to check OddsChecker and ensure that you're always getting the best value.
The second most backed team in that window was the Kansas City Chiefs, betting favorites, with best odds of +600, and taking in 21.33% of bets in that time. Following the Chiefs was the Ravens, who also only fractionally behind in the betting too, taking 13.33% of bets at a best price of +650. The Ravens were one of the best performers on Sunday as they humbled the Cleveland Browns.
Another team who exceeded expectations were the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers' team wer our fourth most backed in that window, accumulating 8% of bets at best odds of +3000.
Super Bowl Odds (Best Odds):
Kansas City Chiefs +600
