Through 3 weeks of the NFL season we've seen a different Josh Allen. This new version of Josh Allen is more accurate, smarter, and making people question whether the Buffalo Bills QB is a legitimate candidate for MVP.

Bettors certainly think so, over the past 24 hours, a majority of bets on the MVP market have been on Josh Allen, at a very large price of +3300. The 7th overall pick in the 2018 draft has taken a huge 36.2% of all the bets on who'll succeed Lamar Jackson as the league's MVP.

The Bills were fortunate to win on Sunday, when a questionable DPI call gave them another shot to get the game-winning points, but they did and that record is now in the books. Through 3 games we've now seen Allen pass for over 1000 yards, throw 10 touchdowns, and only give up 1 interception. His QB rating sits at 124.8, hugely up from his career average of 84.1.

We've always admired Allen's athletic ability but what has really impressed all fans and experts alike is the improvement in his accuracy, he's been dynamic and a 71.1% passing completition percentage is a marked improvement on the 58.2% he'd be playing at previously.

Allen's biggest competition seems to be Russell Wilson, who has 34.18% of bets, showing how close the two are currently running. Wilson is third favorite with the books at +700, marginally longer odds than those for Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes.

Ben Roethlisberger is third with 7.81% of bets, and priced at +5000, marginally ahead of Aaron Rodgers, at 7.04% of bets, and priced at +2500. Those two QBs have been performing brilliantly, and despite both showing their finest form, it's hard to say they've looked better than Allen or Wilson who really lead the way.
