NFL Odds: Josh Allen More Likely To Win MVP Than Lamar Jackson
Following yet another excellent performance against Las Vegas Raiders in a 30-23 win, Buffalo Bills have gone 4-0 and Josh Allen is being singled out for praise once again.
Oddsmakers are keeping a close eye on the 24-year-old and – following the news that the shoulder injury that took him off isn’t serious – have cut his odds to be named MVP for the fourth week in a row.
Allen began the season way down the list of favorites with his odds of +6600 carrying an implied probability of just 1.49% that he would land the award.
Jackson, by comparison, entered the season as the reigning MVP and was vying with Patrick Mahomes for favoritism with odds of +500 carrying a 16.67% chance.
Today, however, it’s a very different picture; Allen has seen his odds shorten week on week and can now be backed at a best price of +1200 (7.77% implied probability).
Jackson’s have steadily moved in the other direction and he now has a worse price at +1600.

In fact, only Aaron Rodgers (+800), the aforementioned Mahomes (+450) and current favorite Russell Wilson are currently rated as likelier winners of the MVP award than Josh Allen.
Interestingly, it is actually Kyler Murray who has proven the most popular wager since the season began, with 18.71% of all bets placed in that time going behind the Cardinals QB. Allen is the fifth best-backed on the market with 7.31% of the share.
NFL MVP Odds
Russell Wilson +250
Patrick Mahomes +350
Aaron Rodgers +700
Josh Allen +1200
