Myles Garrett’s odds of being named ‘Defensive Player of the Year’ have shortened to +400, meaning he is now second-favorite to land the award.

Only Aaron Donald – with odds of +334 – is deemed more likely to win the award by sportsbooks than the Browns DE.

Garrett’s price of +400 carries an implied probability of 20% that he will receive the honor at the end of the season.

On the eve of Week 1, Garrett’s odds were significantly worse with oddsmakers not considering him as a frontrunner; they were set at +2500, meaning that with an implied chance of just 3.85 he was considered over five times less likely to win DPOTY than today.

However, his odds have been steadily shortened week after week and he has now almost climbed to the top of the pack

TJ Watt is third on the betting list with odds of +500, Khalil Mack at +700, before a significant jump back to Stephen Gilmore in fifth on +2500.

And bettors seem to agree with the oddsmakers, with Garrett receiving the third-highest number of wagers of any player in the past month.

Defensive Player Of The Year Odds

Aaron Donald +334

Myles Garrett +400

TJ Watt +500
