Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals Betting Preview

Week 7’s Sunday Night Football matchup features a pair of teams battling for a spot atop the NFC West as the Seattle Seahawks travel to Arizona to take on the Cardinals in primetime.

The Cardinals come in on a two-game win streak, topping the Cowboys and Jets in back-to-back weeks following disappointing losses to the Lions and Panthers.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks are one of three unbeaten teams left in the NFL. Russell Wilson has been the best player in the NFL to this point and comes into Sunday as the favorite to win this year’s MVP award (+100).

Both the betting public and oddsmakers are favoring the Seahawks ahead of Sunday night, but do the Cardinals stand a chance to pull off the upset?

Arizona Cardinals

Following disappointing losses in Week 3 and Week 4, Arizona has rebounded nicely their last two times out.

In Week 5, Kyler Murray torched the Jets and led his team to a 30-10 win. Then, last week, the Cardinals took advantage of an injured Dallas Cowboys squad, winning 38-10.

Murray has used his feet well this season, but his passing has regressed some following his Rookie of the Year performance in 2019. He’s 15th in the NFL in passing yards, 10th in QBR and has 6 INTs on the year.

Luckily for him, the Seahawks’ defense has been atrocious this season and should be an easy target for him to pick apart.

Seattle Seahawks

Week after week, Russell Wilson continues to make his case for best player in the NFL. Through five games, he has an unbelievable 19 passing touchdowns and just three interceptions. He’s completing 72.8% of his passes and ranks 5th in the NFL in QBR.

One of the reasons Wilson has had such an unbelievable start to the season is the group of receivers he has around him. DK Metcalf has become one of the best WRs in the entire NFL in just his second year in the league, and Tyler Lockett continues to be wildly underrated.

Seattle has failed to score 30 points in a game just once this season, and looks to continue that offensive success on Sunday night.
