Monday Night Football: Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears Betting Breakdown

Despite the fact that the 3-5 Minnesota Vikings come into Week 10’s Monday Night Football matchup against the Chicago Bears in last place in the NFC North, oddsmakers have universally tabbed the Vikings as favorites. And, to make matters even worse for Chicago, the betting public is also backing the Vikings.

The Bears come into this week at 5-4, two games behind the division leading Green Bay Packers, but there is more to Chicago than what you see in the standings. After starting the season 5-1, the Bears have dropped three straight and need a win Monday night in order to stay in the hunt for a NFC North title.

As of Monday afternoon, the Vikings come into MNF with best odds of -145. Those odds imply a 59.2% chance that Minnesota wins the first meeting between the two teams in the 2020 NFL season. The Vikings and Bears play again in Week 15.

In comparison, Chicago’s best odds of +160 are indicative of a 38.5% chance of victory, but the Bears are as short as +125 in some places, giving them a 44.4% shot according to their worst odds.

Those numbers are pretty much in line with how the betting public has decided to wager on the moneyline for this Week 10 Monday Night Football matchup. 57.89% of all bets are on the Vikings to win and move to 4-5 on the season, while 42.11% of moneyline bets are on the Bears to end their three-game skid.
