NFL Odds: DeAndre Hopkins Clear Favorite To Get Most Receiving Yards
The betting markets on which player will record the most receiving yards in the regular season has been updated following Week 11, and Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is the clear frontrunner.
The odds of Hopkins having the most receiving yards after 16 games currently sit at +350, which carries an implied probability of 22.22%.
This puts him clear of Davante Adams and DK Metcalf, whose odds of +700 give them just a 12.50% suggested chance each. Stefon Diggs is close behind on +850 (10.53% chance) before a big gap back to Terry McLaurin on +2100 (4.55% chance).
Hopkins ascent to the head of the pack is all the more impressive given that he began the season as a rank outsider to lead the league in receiving yards. His odds in preseason were +2000, meaning oddsmakers rated his chances back then at just 4.76%.
Sports bettors also seem to agree with the assessment that Hopkins is the leading contender; 23% of all bets placed on the market have gone in favor of the Cardinals man, making him the second most popular pick for sports bettors.
Interestingly, it is Julio Jones – with 28% - who is the bettors #1 choice, despite the fact that his odds of +4000 imply just a 2.44% probability.
OddsChecker spokesperson Pete Watt: “The Cards have managed to remain competitive in what has been a very challenging NFC West this year, and the fact that they still harbor ambitions of winning the division is in no small part down to the efforts of Hopkins.”
“With just six games to go, the race still remains wide open but the fact that both oddsmakers and bettors have put their stock behind DeAndre Hopkins is certainly telling.”
