Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers: Bettors, Oddsmakers Expecting Packers Win

If the Chicago Bears are going to make a play for the NFC North title, there’s no better time than in Week 12 as they travel to Green Bay to take on the division leading Packers.

Nick Foles is apparently still nursing a hip injury he sustained in Week 10, so we’ll see the return of former first round pick Mitch Trubisky under center for the Bears. For the Packers, they’ll be looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss against the Colts where they wasted a late lead.

We know all the storylines leading into Sunday Night Football, but what do the betting markets say about the game? And who does the betting public expect to come out on top?

Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers Betting

As of Sunday morning, the Packers come into their primetime meeting with the Bears favored by more than a touchdown. At -7.5, oddsmakers are hinting that the gap between the two teams is much larger than the two games that separate them in the standings.

As far as the moneyline is concerned, the Packers’ best odds of -357 imply a massive 78.1% chance they win outright. The Bears come in at +335, odds indicative of a 23% shot to pull off the upset.

The odds make sense when you take a look at the historical trends within the rivalry this decade. Since 2010, the Packers are 17-4 against the Bears.

As far as the betting public is concerned, they agree with the oddsmakers and have put their money where their mouth is. 76.92% of all outright moneyline bets on Sunday Night Football in Week 12 are on the Packers to win. Just 23.08% have picked the Bears and Mitch Trubisky.
