Seattle Seahawks vs. Philadelphia Eagles Odds: Eagles Look Like No Match For Seattle
The Philadelphia Eagles continue to be one of the most disappointing teams in the entire NFL, week after week. Their quarterback is playing terribly, their coach seems lost and the injuries to key players are starting to pile up.
To make matters worse, they’re starting their most difficult stretch of their schedule at 3-6-1 on the season. This week it’s the Seahawks, followed by the Packers, Saints and Cardinals, in that order. Their season depends on being able to keep their head above water over the next few weeks, and it’s not looking good.
The Seahawks come into the game fresh off a bye. Before that, they defeated division rival Arizona, 28-21, to get to 7-3 overall.
Basically everyone is expecting the Seahawks to have their way with the Eagles, and for a good reason. THE EAGLES AREN’T A GOOD FOOTBALL TEAM.
Seattle Seahawks vs. Philadelphia Eagles Betting
It’s a little surprising to see the Seahawks only favored by 6 points on Monday night. The Seahawks have beaten the Eagles in six straight games, dating back to 2008, by an average margin of victory of 12.3 points. As a matter of fact, the smallest margin of victory the Seahawks had in that span was a 10-point win in 2014. So, despite being a 6-point favorite, it seems like good value on the Seahawks on the spread.
Looking at the moneyline, Seattle’s best odds sit at -260, meaning oddsmakers are giving them an implied 72.2% shot at keeping their win streak going. As far as the betting public is concerned, it’s a little surprising to see just 58.33% of bets on Seattle.
The Eagles, a team which has turned even their most optimistic fans into doubters, are +240 to break their 13-year losing skid against Seattle.
