NFL Draft Odds: 98% Chance That The Jaguars Draft Trevor Lawrence
NFL Draft Odds: 98% Chance That The Jaguars Draft Trevor Lawrence
The NFL Wild Card Round hasn't even started yet but eyes are already on the upcoming NFL Draft. Jaguars fans in particular will be very happy today with Trevor Lawrence's announcement that he's declaring for the draft.
The Clemson QB has been highly rated, and touted to be the first pick of the 2021 NFL Draft for two years as he's enjoyed great success, only losing twice, both in New Orleans.
Bookmakers are all agreed that the long-haired quarterback will be selected first, but he's currently a best price of -1200 that he gets selected first overall. Increidbly he's as short as -5000 with one bookie to be selected first, most likely by the Jacksonville Jaguars, unless they trade out fo the pick, which would frankly be insane. -5000 implies a huge 98% chance that the Tennessee native will be drafted first.
Next up in the betting is Ohio State's Justin Fields, a best price of 8/1, with books giving him at 11.1% chance of going first, some way ahead of Penei Sewell, who is rated as a 20/1 shot to be drafted first, a probability of 4.8%.
