NFC East Favorite Cowboys Sign Dak Prescott to Record-Setting Deal

NFC East Favorite Cowboys Sign Dak Prescott to Record Deal
The Dallas Cowboys and QB Dak Prescott have been going back and forth for over a year now, trying to work out a long-term deal for the former Mississippi State player they drafted in in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
On Monday, that long process finally came to an end as America’s team signed Prescott to a record-breaking deal, making him the second-highest paid QB in league on an AAV basis.
The details of Prescott’s deal are still coming out, but it’s reportedly a four-year, $160 million deal. That $40 million per year is second in the NFL, behind only Patrick Mahomes’ $45 million agreement. Prescott’s new deal is also expected to include $66 million to sign, the highest signing bonus in NFL history, and a whopping $75 million for Prescott in year one.
So now what for the Cowboys? Prescott is coming off a catastrophic leg injury last season but is expected to be able to start the year under center for Dallas. But, what do their futures odds look like in 2021-2022?

Washington (+400) has the defense to compete for the next 5-8 years, but there are still a ton of question marks on offense. The Eagles, who come into the season aging on both sides of the ball, are +450 and the Giants hold the longest odds in the NFC East at +550.
As for their chances to win the NFC for the first time since 1995, the Cowboys have the seventh shortest odds in the conference at +1500. What about their Super Bowl chances? Their +3000 odds imply just a 3.2% shot.
