New York Jets Record: (0-1-0 SU, 0-1-0 ATS )
New England Record: (0-1-0 SU, 0-1-0 ATS)
Both The Jets and Patriots are starting a rookie quarterback and both teams are coming off of a loss in Week 1. For the Jets, it was a non-conference game against Carolina while for New England they dropped a pivotal divisional game to Miami.
The line opened at just 3.5 before moving quite a bit in the last few days. As of now, the Patriots are now six-point favorites heading into the weekend.

New York Jets Odds & Overview
Depending on when you got the Jets vs Panthers line last week will depend on how you feel about this team right now. If you got it at 5.5 then they covered for you, +5 was a push and +4.5 was a loss.
Well, the line moved the opposite way this week for the Jets after scoring just 14 points in Week 1. The offensive line struggled to protect Zach Wilson allowing six sacks and 10 QB hits against the Panthers' pass rush.
Also, New York struggled to get the ground game going with just 45 total rushing yards on the day. They’ll need a better performance if they want to hang with New England at home this week.
New England Patriots Odds & Overview
The Patriots weren’t able to cover at home last week against Miami but they have to be happy with how Mac Jones looked. Jones threw for 281 yards and a touchdown while completing 74.4 percent of his passes.
Plus on the ground, Damien Harris was able to add 100 yards of rushing. It was just two costly fumbles that kept the Pats from winning their season opener.
The defense did a great job of containing Tua Tagaviloa and when you consider Bill Belicheck is a mastermind and confusing rookie QB’s it could be a long day for Zach Wilson. Hopefully, he isn’t seeing ghosts by halftime.

New York Jets vs New England Patriots Week 2 Betting Preview & Prediction
80 percent of the cash for this game is coming in on the New England Patriots. While New England understandably gets the benefit of the doubt, they’ve also struggled in the post-Brady era against the spread.
They’re just 7-10 (41.2 percent) ATS and when they’re away favorites, they’re 0-3. New York, on the other hand, is 4-3 as a home underdog since the start of last season. Who would’ve thought that the 2-15 Jets over the past two years would give a 57.1 percent return as a home dog.
My confidence isn’t against the spread in this game though, it’s the under at just 43. I know that’s a low number, but it doesn’t matter to me. Both the Jets and Pats have been two of the best teams in the league at hitting unders.
New England is 12-5 on the under (70.6 percent) which is second best only behind the Giants while the Jets come in at 7-10 (58.8 percent). With two young QB’s and two defensive-minded coaches, I don’t anticipate a ton of offense.
NFL Picks: Jets +6, Under 47
