NFL Super Bowl Odds: A Third of All Super Bowl Bets Have Been on the Bengals Over the Last Day
According to OddsChecker's metrics, one-third of all Super Bowl bets over the last 24 hours have been on the Cincinnati Bengals.
Cincinnati Bengals Super Bowl Odds
What a difference a year makes. The Bengals have gone from one of the laughing stocks of the NFL to a legitimate playoff contender. Oddsmakers aren’t ready to go further than that, but bettors are.
The Bengals are given +4000 odds, or an implied 2.4% chance to win the Super Bowl. Those odds are 12th-best in the NFL, and seventh-best in the AFC. That’s a drastic change from the start of the season. Prior to Week 1, the Bengals were given +15000 odds to win the Super Bowl, 29th in the NFL.
Bettors were even worse. The Bengals had the third-least bets placed on them prior to Week 1, only the Lions, Panthers, and Jets had fewer bets on them. Over the last 24 hours though, 33% of bets were placed on the Bengals to win the Super Bowl. That makes them the bettors' favorite to win it all.
Cincinnati Bengals Preseason Super Bowl Odds
Oddsmakers hated the Bengals coming into the season. Zac Taylor was 28th in the NFL in Coach of the Year Odds, they were given the worst odds to win the AFC North, oddsmakers favored them to win under 6.5 games, and they were given the 4th best odds to finish with the worst record in the NFL. They were believed to be one of the league's worst teams. To turn around and now be a Super Bowl favorite makes this a special season.
