Week 9 is about to get underway tonight between the New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football. The Jets are off a surprising win over Cincinnati where backup quarterback, Mike White put on an absolute show. As for the Colts, well their hot streak came to an end against the Tennessee Titans.

Will it be the Mike White Show 2.0 or instead, will Indianapolis prove that they’re better than what their record indicates. Here are the five most popular bets for tonight’s Thursday Night Football matchup.

1. Colts -10.5

Colts -10.566%58%

When looking at the spread, the Colts are getting more love from the public. They’ve been good against the spread with a 5-3 record but as home favorites, they’re just 1-1 this year. New York is just 2-5 against the spread and both wins came in games that they were underdogs in, including last week’s upset win where they were double-digit underdogs.

2. Over 46.5 Points

Over 46.5 points58%70%

People love the over in this one. In three straight games, the Colts have gone over 30 points on their own. With the Jets struggling on defense in recent weeks, perhaps they’re able to make it four weeks in a row. Outside of last week, the Jets have been brutal on offense but even if they’re 60 percent the offense they were on Sunday then they should be able to clear the 46.5 number.

3. Jonathan Taylor First TD Scorer @ +375

In eight games this year, Jonathan Taylor has seven touchdowns. All seven of his touchdowns have come over the last five weeks as he’s been on an unbelievable hot streak recently. Considering the Jets’ poor rush defense, they rank just 27th in rush defense DVOA, Taylor is a relatively safe pick to get into the endzone.

4. Michael Carter over 4.5 receptions @ +115

Over the last two weeks, Carter has 17 catches, averaging 8.5 per game. That 4.5 being in the plus money feels like a gift. In the Jets’ 34-31 win over the Bengals, Mike White threw a combined 20 targets to running backs. White’s average depth of target was just 4.2 so he likes the underneath stuff. This is good value at that number.

5. Michael Pittman Jr. Anytime Touchdown Scorer @ +105

Over the last four weeks, Michael Pittman Jr. has four receiving touchdowns. He’s also gone over 85 yards in three of those four games. It won’t be an easy task though as the Jets defense has only allowed five receiving touchdowns to the WR position this year in seven games played. Jets CB Bryce Hall will likely be tasked with shadowing Pittman, as Hall has been excellent for New York in 2021.
