This week, on Monday Night Football we get an NFC West showcase between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers. These two teams couldn’t be headed in more opposite directions. For starters, the Rams are 7-2 and just added Von Miller and Odell Beckham Jr. to an already star-studded cast.

Things haven’t been as kind out in San Francisco. San Fran has dropped five of six and some are beginning to question how much of a genius Kyle Shanahan really is. Will he be able to silence the doubters or will this be another beatdown from the Rams on their way to waltzing to a playoff spot.

Rams -4

The public absolutely loves the Rams, and so do I. Yeah, the against the spread record isn’t great but when looking at San Fran, it’s just brutal. They’re 0-4 straight up and against the spread this season. If you go back to last year, they’ve covered just twice at home. Don’t overthink this one, ride the better team.

Over 49.5

Over 49.550%53%

This one is actually pretty close but here’s some numbers that should put your mind at ease. These two teams are combined 10-6-1 to the over. The Rams are second in the league at hitting the over and the 49ers are third in football. It might seem like a high number but the Rams should be able to put up a boatload of points and San Fran will more than likely do enough to get it over this hump.

Cooper Kupp to score first touchdown +600

Between these two teams, Cooper Kupp is the safest bet to get into the endzone. He has 10 touchdowns in nine games so far and with Robert Woods out one would have to imagine that he would be heavily utilized in the offensive game plan for Los Angeles tonight. He has five touchdowns in the team’s last five games.

Ben Skowronek to score anytime touchdown (+1000)

This is a longshot bet, but it’s an interesting play. With Robert Woods out and Odell Beckham Jr. being a Ram for just a few days, is there a shot that Skowronek gets into the endzone this week? He’s only really gotten a chance against Houston this year, a game where he has three catches on three targets for 30 yards.

Rams -6.5 and over 40.5 points (+200)

Now, this is a bet that I love. The 49ers have no business being in this game, so assuming the Rams win by a touchdown is likely a good value bet. When you pair that with an over at 41 that is much more palatable than the 49.5 number. There’s a reason why the public was split at a number that high but bring this down by nine points and you have yourself a nice looking parlay.
