Lamar Jackson Injury Update: Is the MVP Candidate in Danger of Missing Sunday's Game?Â
For the second day in a row, Lamar Jackson missed practice due to a non-COVID-related illness. It’s actually the fourth time this year that he’s been ill this year and missed practice, none of the times have been COVID-related.
The Baltimore Ravens are 6-3 and sit atop the AFC North Division. This week, they’re on the road in Chicago taking on the Bears who have dropped four straight games after starting their season 3-2.
The only other quarterback on the roster for Baltimore is 23-year-old Tyler Huntley. Huntley has attempted 11 passes this season, appearing in the Ravens blowout loss to Cincinnati in Week 7, for just 39 yards (a 3.55 yard per attempt.
More than likely Lamar Jackson will start on Sunday, but the Ravens don’t exactly have a ton of depth at the position outside of Lamar Jackosn. Right now, Baltimore is considered heavy road favorites at -5 which is right about a point down from where it started this week.
If Lamar isn’t good to go then this number will likely head in the other direction but all signs point to him being healthy for Sunday’s action.
On the season, Lamar Jackson has completed 64.4 percent of his passes for 14 touchdowns to eight interceptions to go along with a 93.1 passer rating. He also has added 639 yards on the ground and two scores there as well which has him currently in seventh in the MVP race.
