Seattle Seahawks vs. Los Angeles Rams Odds, Betting Preview and Predictions
The highly anticipated NFC West tilt between the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams is almost upon us. But will it live up to expectations after being rescheduled due to a Covid-19 outbreak within Los Angeles’ camp mainly? It’s impossible to say for certain as many question marks remain ahead of Tuesday’s bout at SoFi Stadium.Â
Why, only a couple of days ago, the Rams had as many as 25 players (from the active roster and practice squad) on the reserve/Covid-19 list. It was this hefty number of inactive players that forced the league to reschedule this game from Sunday to Tuesday.Â
And yet, the market on this game has stayed constant, reopening with the Rams as the touchdown favorites on the NFL odds board.Â

Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview
It’s been a trying season to say the least for Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks. From poor form to an injury to Russell Wilson, the Seahawks’ season is hanging by the slimmest of threads. They’re 5-8 on the season and potentially facing their last shot to keep any postseason hopes alive. A loss against the Rams would all but eliminate the Seahawks indeed.
Wilson and company have won their last two games, beating San Francisco 30-23 at home and the Houston Texans 33-13 on the road. They have four games left on the NFL schedule which they must win out, two of which feature division opponents – the Rams and Cardinals.
The Seahawks are coming off a strong performance against an inferior opponent in the Texans. It’s not surprising that the offense was firing at all cylinders and the defense was stout.Â
Wilson completed 17 of 28 passes for 260 yards and two touchdowns. Wilson was more accurate with the deep throw than in previous games and Tyler Lockett benefitted with 142 yards on five receptions with a touchdown. The Seahawks defense held rookie quarterback Davis Mills and the Texans offense to six points for 56 minutes after Houston opened with a score in its first drive of the game.Â
Los Angeles Rams Betting Preview
Sean McVay’s side recovered from a shocking three-game losing streak with back-to-back wins in the last fortnight. First they crushed the Jacksonville Jaguars in a 37-7 rout at home and then they upset the Arizona Cardinals 30-23 on the road to come through as the 3-point closing road underdogs.Â
The Rams needed a win over a contender and they got that against the Cardinals last weekend. Although it’s only the second win against a team with a winning record this season, it appears to have done the trick and reignited support for the Rams amongst bettors.
Matthew Stafford turned in a clean performance as he completed 23 of 30 passes for 287 yards and three touchdowns. He connected with Odell Beckham Jr. Van Jefferson and his BFF Cooper Kupp for those passing touchdowns. The Rams defense was in fine form with Aaron Donald proving to be the most disruptive. He recorded three sacks of Kyler Murray, including a game-ending sack on the final play that quashed Arizona’s last-gasp effort to tie the game.
Seahawks vs. Rams Odds
Team | Total | Spread | Moneyline |
---|---|---|---|
Seahawks | O 53.5 (+225) | +7 (-110) | +250 |
Rams | U 53.5 (-225) | -7 (-104) | -290 |
Lookahead lines projected the Los Angeles Rams as the touchdown favorites for their second date this season with the Seattle Seahawks. Although the Rams are dealing with roster concerns due to Covid-19, markets re-opened with the Rams as the touchdown favorites almost unanimously across the board. When these NFC West rivals met back in Week 5, the Rams clinched the 26-17 win on the road. It was also the game that saw both Matthew Stafford and Russell Wilson sustain hand injuries, although later it would transpire Wilson’s was more serious and would require the veteran starter to miss a good chunk of the season.
Seattle Seahawks vs Los Angeles Rams Predictions and Picks
To all intents and purposes, this is a game that the Rams should win if only to underscore their playoff credentials. However, games aren’t played on paper, but on the field. The Rams are made up of the who’s who of football, but the star-studded cast has had a tough time coming together and delivering consistent results against top teams. That fact raises doubts about their veracity as a touchdown favorite in this game.
On paper, the Seahawks fit the bill as a team with a losing record that the Rams have had no trouble dominating. However, the Seahawks aren’t your run of the mill losing team. They’ve built a reputation for being dangerous floaters and tough competitors. Heck, they underscored that with a win over the Niners a couple of weeks ago.Â
Push comes to shove, the Seahawks at +7 for this game is a bet worth considering. The Seahawks might be down, but they’re not out. And they won’t go away quietly either.
Picks: Seahawks +7
