Travis Kelce Out For Chiefs With COVID-19
For the last two weeks or so, COVID-19 has been wreaking havoc all over the NFL. In Week 15 we had three games moved back and now again this week, teams are still getting crushed with positive COVID cases left and right.
This morning, we learned that the Kansas City Chiefs will be without star tight end, Travis Kelce.
Once again here in 2021, Travis Kelce is having a monster season for the Chiefs. For the sixth year in a row, he's cleared the 1,000 yard mark and in 14 games this year with the Chiefs he has seven touchdowns to his name.
Last week against the Los Angeles Chargers, he went off for 191 yards and two touchdowns including the game-winner in overtime. With Kelce out, expect Blake Bell to get the starting reps at the position.
In 13 games with the Chiefs, he has 41 yards on five catches. Bell was also a member of the 2019 Super Bowl champion Chiefs and spent the 2020 season in Dallas where he had 110 receiving yards on 11 catches.
This week, the Chiefs are taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers and are favored by 11 points. Kansas City will have to do it without one of their best offensive weapons for Patrick Mahomes.
