T.J. Watt Defensive Player of the Year Odds: Can Anyone Catch the Favorite?

T.J. Watt Defensive Player of the Year Odds: Can Anyone Catch the Favorite?
Man, what's in the Watt family gene pool? Last night was yet another dominant performance from T.J. Watt in the Pittsburgh Steelers' 26-14 win over the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football.
T.J. had a four(!) sack night, three tackles for a loss, and five quarterback hits bringing him up to a league-leading 21.5 sacks and 20 tackles for a loss. He has a legit chance to break the single-season sack record of 22.5 set by Michael Strahan set back in 2001.
Right now, the only other person you can make the case for is Micah Parsons. The rookie has 13 sacks, 84 tackles, and 20 tackles for a loss playing on the much improved Dallas Cowboys defense.
To me, Parsons is the clear defensive rookie of the year, just like Ja'Marr Chase is the clear offensive rookie of the year, and T.J. Watt is far and away the defensive player of the year.
The craziest thing about Watt's performance this year is he's done it in just 14 games. He's putting up numbers that guys would dream of over a 17 game season in just 14, his talent is truly off the charts.
As his older brother tweeted, only one player has ever appeared in the 20 sack club twice in their career. Nothing like a sibling rivalry!
