Who Will Be the Next Giants Head Coach? Oddsmakers Peg Doug Pederson As the Early Favorite
After moving on from Joe Judge, the Giants are on the lookout for their next head coach. Oddsmakers at BetMGM don't know what to make of their search so early on, but they believe a former division rival will be a favorite.
Former Eagles head coach Doug Pederson is the early favorite to replace Judge. Pederson is given +400 odds or an implied 20% chance to land the Giants job. He's followed closely by Bills OC Brian Daboll, who's given +475 odds or an implied 17.4% chance. Then former Dolphins head coach Brian Flores and Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy are given +500 odds, or an implied 16.7% chance to land the job.
Oddsmakers at BetMGM also see a chance that Giants DC Patrick Graham gets a promotion to head coach. Graham is given +750 odds or an 11.8% chance. The Giants are the only team, who didn't have an interim head coach to have a current coach on their odds market. After firing Joe Judge, Giants owner John Mara has said the team will first hire a new General Manager, and that they will lead the search for the Giants next head coach.

Some people may still point to the infamous yacht picture the Giants players took the week before the Packers leveled the Giants, 38-13, at Lambeau Field back in 2017 as to why they have struggled. Since "the boat" picture the Giants are on their fourth head coach and haven't had a winning record at any point in five straight years. The franchise is at a turning point and needs to find a great leader with the next head coach.
Oddsmakers are looking for the Giants to make a move for an offensive-minded head coach. Sure, Brian Flores is given decent odds, but he's the only defensive-minded coach among the top-7 on the odds market. All told, 8 of the 11 coaches on the market are offense-minded coaches. That leads to people questioning the quarterback. With a new regime, is Daniel Jones's time up?
