NFL First Quarterback Selected Odds: Which Quarterback will Come off the Board First?

This year's NFL Draft is going to be interesting. Coming into the draft, there's no sure thing. There's no Justin Herbert or Joe Burrow. There's simply no sure thing with many teams at the top of the draft not really looking to draft a quarterback. The Jacksonville Jaguars will select first, but already drafted Trevor Lawrence first overall in last year's draft. The Jaguars don't need a quarterback. Then the Detroit Lions would be up next and they just traded for Jared Goff and aren't looking for a quarterback either. Of course, there could be a blockbuster trade that would help a quarterback get drafted early, but for this article, we'll stick with the current order. Here's who we think will be drafted as the first quarterback in this year's NFL Draft.

Kenny Pickett (+120) (Bet $100 to win $120)

Right now, Kenny Pickett is the favorite. But there are some reports about scouts not liking his hands or whatever. This was the same stuff that Joe Burrow heard before he was drafted and he's turned out just fine.

The Pittsburgh Steelers would likely love to get their hands on Pickett. That would keep Pickett in a familiar area and would also fill a major need for the Steelers with Ben Roethlisberger retiring. However, the Steelers don't draft until pick 20 and there are plenty of other teams that could be looking for a quarterback before them. The Houston Texans have to be looking at a quarterback at pick three, but if not there, the Washington Commanders could be next in line at pick 11. But you would think that the Commanders would be a better fit for the next guy on this list.

Malik Willis (+150) (Bet $100 to win $150)

Right now, it feels like Malik Willis is running up drafted boards. The quarterback out of Liberty threw for 2,857 yards along with 27 touchdowns and 12 interceptions on the year. But the thing about Willis that teams love is his mobility. He can run around the pocket and you can even draw up run plays for Willis. He ran for 13 touchdowns this season and 14 the season before. This year, he had nearly 200 rushing attempts and had 878 yards. That yardage was down from last year, but overall, he's a work in progress who has so much potential. If you're looking for value, I'd take Willis over Pickett.

Matt Corral (+1000) (Bet $100 to win $1000)

I think we see Matt Corral beat out Sam Howell in this year's draft. Corral is +1000 for a reason and was hurt in his final game for Ole Miss, however, Corral has crazy good arm talent and threw for 3,349 yards last season. His QBR was one of the highest in college football last season with an 80.5 number and like Willis, Corral is capable of running and escaping. He probably ran too much at Ole Miss, but overall, he's a playmaker and a great decision-maker. I don't think he lands with a team before Willis and Pickett but it's early. During the whole process, Corral has the ability to turn some heads and move on up in the rankings.
