2022 NFL Draft First Overall Pick Odds: Aidan Hutchinson Given 73.7% Chance to go First Overall

Who will go first overall in the NFL Draft?

Every season, that is the most important question as we enter the draft and we always seem to have a pretty good idea who it will be.

This year, there have been a bunch of different players mocked to the Jacksonville Jaguars with the first overall pick. But, First overall pick odds clearly favor former Michigan defensive end, Aidan Hutchinson, as the top pick.

For a while, it seemed to be Kayvon Thibodeaux that was going to go first overall. First overall pick odds and mock drafts kept saying he was the clear pick. But, over the last few months, we've seen a shift to Hutchinson.

It hasn't been just Hutchinson and Thibodeaux, either. Guys like Evan Neal, Charles Cross, Ikem Ekwonu and Travon Walker all have hype surrounding them going first overall. However, the first overall pick odds clearly favor Aidan Hutchinson with just over a week until the 2022 NFL Draft.

As you can see above, Aidan Hutchinson's odds of -280 to be selected first overall give him a dominating 73.7% chance to put that Jags hat on come next Thursday.

Hutchinson was an absolute force at Michigan and was almost unblockable in some of the Wolverines' biggest games. Making him an even more enticing prospect is the fact that his off-the-charts athleticism draws comparisons to both Bosa brothers.

After Hutchinson comes Travon Walker. Six months ago, I'm not sure anyone could have predicted Walker would be in contention for the first overall pick. Heck, he probably wasn't even the best player on Georgia's defensive line this past year, an honor that belongs to Jordan Davis. But Walker, whose odds sit at +300, is an every-down player that has prototypical size, speed and strength, which has shot him up boards.

Ikem Ekwonu, like Walker, was not considered the best player at his position coming into the season. That honor was Evan Neal's, but he has shot to the top of draft boards and now ranks ahead of Neal according to the latest first overall pick odds.

The first QB to show up on the list is Liberty's Malik Willis. It's almost a sure thing that Jacksonville won't take a QB, seeing as they did last season with Trevor Lawrence, but it's the nature of the position to have a player at least in the conversation for top pick.
