2022 NFL Draft Number 3 Overall Pick Odds: Will Houston Go Offense or Defense?
After a blockbuster trade with the Cleveland Browns, the rebuild is all the way on for Houston starting with the third overall pick in the NFL Draft this year. For the Texans, oddsmakers seem unsure what side of the ball the team is going to attack.
Sure, they just hired Lovie Smith who is a defensive coach but the offensive line could use some help, especially if they really want to see what they have in Davis Mills this year. Let's look at the 2022 NFL Draft number 3 overall pick odds.

Ahmad Gardner +300 (Bet $100 to win $300)
Sauce Gardner is one of three players who share the same +300 odds. I'm surprised to see Sauce in the same boat as Ikem Ekwonu or Travon Walker. To me, corner doesn't feel like as big of a need for this team as compared to tackle, wide receiver, and edge. Gardner is obviously worthy of a top five selection, he didn't allow a touchdown throughout his college career, but if he ended up in Houston that would be pretty surprising to me.
Ikem Ekwonu +300 (Bet $100 to win $300)
You could make a strong case for Houston to go offensive line. Davis Mills is the projected starter and they have to do a better job of protecting the quarterback in order to truly see if he is the guy or not going forward. Ikem Ekwonu has both tackle and guard flexibility but to me, he is the perfect fit to go on the opposite side of Laremy Tunsil.
Travon Walker +300 (Bet $100 to win $300)
If Aidan Hutchinson is off the board and the Texans want to go edge rusher, Travon Walker seems to make a ton of sense. His athleticism is extremely high and he's already an elite-level run stopper. If Lovie Smith thinks he can get the most out of him as a pass rusher, then I don't see this pick being that crazy at third overall.
