2022 NFL Draft First Overall Pick Odds: Aidan Hutchinson Leads With the Most Bets

For the second year in a row, the Jacksonville Jaguars hold the first overall pick in the NFL Draft. For months now, NFL Draft analysts have tried to figure out who Jacksonville is trying to take, and just like the oddsmakers they've struggled.

When looking at the 2022 NFL Draft first overall pick odds, originally it felt like Kayvon Thibodeaux would be the pick, then Ikem Ekwonu, then Aidan Hutchinson, and now Travon Walker leads the pack.

How does the public view the first overall pick? Let's look at both the 2022 NFL Draft first overall pick odds and the handle percentage and bets percentage for this pick.

When looking at these 2022 NFL Draft First overall pick odds there are a few things that jump out. First, it's still baffling that Travon Walker is the odds on favorite at this point but if Jacksonville really values the raw talent and upside over what we've seen from Aidan Hutchinson at the collegiate level that's on them.

Travon Walker has the biggest handle percentage with 26% but ranks just third in percentage of bets. Bettors like both Aidan Hutchinson and Evan Neal more so for the 2022 first overall pick odds than they do Travon Walker.

Evan Neal, who is +1600, feels like a stretch at this point. The Jaguars franchise tagged offensive tackle, Cam Robinson so that more than likely takes both Evan Neal and Ikem Ekwonu out of the picture for the first overall pick.

On draft night, I think it comes down to Travon Walker and Aidan Hutchinson. Right now, there's a ton of steam with Travon Walker and while the percentage of bets is rather low, the smart money seems to be on Travon Walker. The 2022 NFL Draft first overall pick odds have moved around a ton, and maybe it moves again before Thursday but I think there's something to this Travon Walker going first overall thing.
